Saim Ayub belongs to an educated family in Karachi. His father himself has also been associated with cricket. Saim started playing cricket at a very young age and soon impressed the coaches with his skills. He received formal training from Rashid Latif Cricket Academy, where he played a special role in honing his talent.

Saim Ayub showed excellent performance in the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy. His technique, patience, and ability to play big innings impressed everyone.

He was among the top scorers in domestic cricket in 2023.

One of his big innings includes 203 runs that he scored in the final match.

Debuted with the Quetta Gladiators in 2021 but did not have much success.

Returned with Peshawar Zalmi in 2023 and batted strongly in the powerplay in several matches.
