The Pakistan-Sri Lanka ODI series has been scheduled.
As the situation deteriorated in Islamabad, news came that 16 Sri Lankan players requested of their board

that they could not complete the series with Pakistan due to the security situation and wanted to return home immediately.

The Sri Lankan board held talks with Pakistan on this issue, and Pakistan assured and guaranteed the best security for the team, which satisfied the Sri Lankan board.

Later, news came that 8 players were going back, and Sri Lanka was immediately sending 5 other players as their replacements.


The Sri Lanka board issued instructions to its players and said that all players should return after completing the tour of Pakistan; if any player does not do so, action will be taken against them.


Mohsin Naqvi also held an emergency meeting with the Sri Lankan team and satisfied all the players, who have agreed to play the remaining matches and complete the tri-nation series.


The matches that were earlier scheduled for today, the 13th, and the 15th will now be played on the 14th and 16th of November.


The Sri Lankan board has once again decided to stand by Pakistan in this difficult time. And asked its players to stay in Pakistan and complete the series.
